Limitless conventions even today
It is very common to see a women covering her face with her veil in any rural area . But have you ever noticed that with that VEIL , her wishes , her dreams , her happiness , her freedom are all covered with the heavy weight of her VEIL .
It seems very common to us but what about her own life . Whenever I get to know about these conditions of women still prevailing in our society my heart totally sinks in grief.
These women have to follow many conventions which are still in our country from a very historic time . We often see in rural areas that women covered their face with their long veil whenever their father-in-law or any male member is in front of them . What all this shows ? It shows that how down we are till today . We think that if daughter-in-laws doesn't covered themselves with their veils then they are not respectful to their in-laws . What a rubbish thing this society is following ? Why these people think that only clothes of a female shows her character and her values ? The girls who do not used their veil are regarded to be disrespectful and are often forced to follow these conventions.
We all are living in 21st century and these HISTORICAL CONVENTIONS have no place in our present .
Sometimes we often see that girls in many rural areas are disregarded if they are ever seen in JEANS . People make different types of comments on her character . Why ? Only because she is not wearing SALWAR KAMEEZ which are often seen as a symbol of a good character of a girl .
In many areas of our country , these conventions are still occupying a very great place , like in many parts of haryana and rajasthan .
A change has come but not that much . There is still a need .
Women have to realize that if they follow these conventions , then only these will continue otherwise these can also become extinct .
So don't follow these stupid CONVENTIONS in this modern era . 👍
