Superstitious views of society for women
We all knew this fact from the very ancient time that '' Women are the symbol of power''. But how contradictory this view is form our ancestors who on one side claimed the power of women and on the other side made the rituals like ''Sati Pratha''. Does these views favour the existence of women or made a reason for her death.
Many of us have also heard about the fact :
''Where women are worshipped , there God exists''.
Then what happen to people when many complaint registers are over flowed with the complaints of women harrassment ??
Isn't this a matter of shame for all those people who have their own daughter, sister, mother and in society they treat women as if she is their slave.
In earlier times girls were married in very small age and when their husbands die after sometime of marriage, people blamed her for this and she was also burnt alive with her dead husband on his pyre. How shameful acts were done by these people who claimed to be of very prestigious families.
But with time , girls realise their importance in society and make the society realise too...
We have many examples of this in our history. Jahanara and Roshanara were the daughters of Shah Jahan. They were so independent in their work that they received an annual income from sea ports equal to that of merchants of that time. Chandni chowk is too their invention.
Today , women have realised that they are not less than men . And those who have not realise should learn from historical examples.

I have been searching for womens conditions in ancient times and i come know the worst shit that had happened with womens that were from lowest background and as u have said that historical examples about women are the best source of learning women's conditions. Yes its right becoz the real happenings done with women could be better understood by history of women. There should be equality for women in all fields.
